Simon is a North Queensland local with over 30 years’ experience in the local construction industry in roles encompassing design, design management, commercial management, owners’ engineer, project management, business development and executive management.
Simon has managed the design and delivery of a number of high profile, high risk and high value infrastructure projects for the Townsville community including the CBD Utilities Upgrade Project, Manton Park Motorsport Facility, Haughton Pipeline Duplication Project Stage 1 and the Port of Townsville Channel Capacity Upgrade.
Simon was responsible for the successful delivery of a $100m+ program of work restoring community assets as a result of damaged resulting from natural disasters in the Townsville region under a Managing Contractor delivery model with Townsville City Council.
Most recently, Simon has successfully project managed high value, high risk marine and dredging projects in Townsville and Port Hedland, Western Australia as well as heavy duty apron reconstruction works at Moranbah Airport.
His broad experience in all aspects of engineering and construction – from front end project identification through to estimating, delivery, commercial and risk management sets him apart from his peers. His ability to successfully address complex project, commercial and people issues make him an asset to the leadership and management of any large team.
Simon is a highly motivated and competent leader with a strong vision to achieve successful outcomes for clients and colleagues.
